about

I can’t say that I set out one day to make jewellery. Rather, it was a gradual process that began years ago with stringing beads onto string or wire, something I could manage while my kids were young. At some point my interests shifted, and I remember clearly the day when I came across a simple imperfect silver ring in a shop window. It had such a beautiful handmade quality unlike anything I’d ever seen before and it occurred to me then and there that if someone else could make such a ring that I might be able to as well. Fast forward to now, lots of learning and never enough tools later, I design and create rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings at my home studio in Ocean Park, near Vancouver, Canada. Using the ancient techniques of lost wax and sand casting, each piece is first carved in wax and then cast in silver, gold or bronze, telling its unique story and I hope reflecting the spirit of that ring in the shop window. Thank you for visiting.
